IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE LONG ISLAND RAILROAD - HILLSIDE AVENUE
Please read this important information received from the Long Island Railroad:

"In an effort to keep you informed on our work plans and outages, I wanted to make you aware that from 10pm Saturday June 10th until 5am Monday June 12th, we will be performing a road closure at the Hillside Avenue grade crossing in East Williston/Williston Park to perform a number of repairs to the crossing. Traffic will be closed in both directions while we perform this work and we currently have VMS signage up at the location to advise motorists and pedestrians about the closure.

We will be working on one track this weekend and returning the following weekend on Saturday June 17th to perform work on the other track (with the same roadway impacts).

Trains on the Oyster Bay branch will run 20-25 minutes later than usual." -LIRR

Based on heavy banding expected to stick around for awhile they bumped up totals a bit from their previous forecast. Bottom line is if you can get into the mesoscale bands you will quickly add an additional 3-6 inches within 90 minutes.
