Something for you to think about pertaining to home owner’s coverage. Basements and your coverage associated with water and sewer back up coverage. For years it was typical to have 5000 in coverage then as costs rose it was more common to see 10,000 in coverage. Well as we all know things have changed Again in a relatively short period of time and you should consider what you have in your basement and what you may need to both correctly clean up dry and replace what could be lost or damaged in the event of a lose. I recently have started to quote 15k in coverage even for unfinished basements based on cost of clean up. Some companies do not offer great basement coverages and some don’t offer limits that you may need. Please address this with me or your current agent and take care.

Please remember to Lock your cars. If you have a renters or a homeowners policy your belongings most likely would be covered. However you have a deductible to deal with, which will usually exceed the value of what you keep in your car. If you do make a claim it can affect future rates and insurability.
