🌳 Wait… My Homeowners Insurance Covers My LANDSCAPING?! 🌷

Surprisingly, it often does! But before you start thinking your homeowners policy is a gardening warranty, let's talk about what that actually means.

Most homeowners policies provide some coverage for trees, shrubs, plants, and lawns when they're damaged by certain covered perils, such as:
✅ Fire or lightning
✅ Vandalism or malicious mischief
✅ Theft (yes, someone stealing your expensive shrubs!)
✅ Certain other covered events, depending on your policy

What's typically NOT covered?
❌ Wind or hail damage to trees and shrubs
❌ Drought, disease, insects, or poor maintenance
❌ Flooding or general wear and tear

Here's the catch: Landscaping coverage usually has limits, often both a total dollar limit and a limit per tree, shrub, or plant and not every type of damage qualifies.
Every insurance policy is different, so check your individual policy for covered causes of loss, exclusions, deductibles, and limits.

🎉 Hosting an event? Protect the party.

Weddings, galas, fundraisers, company parties… anytime you gather a bunch of people in one place, there is at least a small chance somebody is going to do something memorable.

Hopefully memorable in a good way. 😅

But if someone gets hurt, damages the venue, or has a little too much fun at the open bar, event insurance can help keep the problem from becoming your very expensive problem.

Many venues require liability coverage anyway, and depending on the policy, you may also be able to add protection for things like alcohol-related liability, property damage, or certain cancellations.

The best part? Event insurance is often pretty inexpensive compared with everything else you’re already paying for.
