Our hearts go out to the three firefighters who lost their lives while fighting a wildfire in Colorado over the weekend. Additionally, two other firefighters were severely injured and hospitalized.
The bravery and sacrifice of these women and men is humbling. Especially on weeks like this, we can’t help but to be honored that first responders continue to go out every day into dangers they don’t know to keep our country safe.
Our community is no stranger to wildfires, and many of us have friends and loved ones who are either a volunteer firefighter or work for Florida Forest Service. Needless to say, we feel this loss deeply as we know it could easily be one of our own.
Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, their loved ones, and their first responder family, for this is a loss that is immeasurable.
