My name is Ryan Eastep and I am one of the owners of Wichita Bonding Company.
My journey is that of poverty, brokenness, parentless, homelessness, jail and addiction. It’s not a pity party but a beautiful testament of Gods Grace and love. A testament of hard work, a testament of redemption. As a kid, I was surrounded by nothing but hell. In every way, dad not there, separated from mom at 9 years old and then entered into a home with the worst types of abuse for children. I was drinking and drugging at 14.
Years later, I lost my son at the age of 21 because of addiction, and then turned around and lost my daughter, and my girlfriend(now wife🙌🏽). I went down the worst kind of addiction to methamphetamines and opiates. Nearly lost my life, beaten, stabbed, sleeping behind dumpsters, jumping from garage to garage just trying to survive. There’s plenty more horror stories that could be told but it’s simply death or prison on that side of life. The real story is in restoration and redemption.
I found Jesus. It was that simple. I began seeking Him and my life started to change from the inside out. I was given an amazing opportunity in bail bonds where I get to give back to those where I come from. The mission has always been the same.
The last year has been very humbling and I’ve realized how imperfect and prideful I am as a man when I walk in my ways and not Gods.
The greatest part of the story is Gods promises to us even when we run from him. The story of redemption with my wife is only one that fairy tales could write. Out of no where, she flipped a u-turn in the middle of central and drove straight to me after 18 months of no contact. My wife’s love is an underserving love just like the love of Jesus. She is the best mother a child could have. She’s been my heaven and I’ve been her hell. Im truly grateful today that she has stood with me through drug addiction and alcohol abuse. I have the best daughter a dad could ask for. Witty, funny, on the principals honor roll, mischievous, loving, and absolutely beautiful like her mother.
