This past summer I had one of those “it’ll be fine” moments… and it turned into an urgent care trip for an X‑ray and a few stitches. Nothing major—but the bill (and the time off work) was definitely noticeable.

It got me thinking:
In the summer, how often do we end up at urgent care for something “minor”—a fall off a bike, a twisted ankle hiking, a sports injury, a cut that needs stitches, or a quick X‑ray “just to be safe”? And if you miss a day (or two) of work, how easily does your budget absorb that?

That’s where supplemental health policies can help. They’re designed to pay benefits for covered injuries/accidents or hospital events, which can be used to help with out‑of‑pocket costs (deductibles, copays) or everyday expenses while you’re recovering.

Memorial Day weekend is almost here—are you hosting? 🇺🇸

We’re seeing lots of plans like backyard BBQs, friends/family visiting, lawn games, maybe a bonfire or a day on the water. It’s the kind of weekend that makes great memories… and sometimes comes with unexpected “oops” moments.

A few quick questions to consider before everyone arrives:

If someone gets hurt on your property, do you have the right liability protection?
If a guest accidentally damages something (or you damage someone else’s property), are you prepared?
If you’re borrowing/using a boat, trailer, or other “weekend toys,” are you sure you’re covered the way you think?
