26 years ago today these two kids said “I do”

We had NO IDEA what we were in for.

We had the early years where we couldn’t afford to order a pizza as we paid for school and our first apartment.

We had a rough stretch where I suffered through depression and was a miserable soul.

We had a perilous first pregnancy that by the grace of God is now our 20 year old daughter.

We’ve had our family and our church alongside us through all these years.

We’ve had 15 years of homeschooling with the laughs and the tears that it has brought with it.

We’ve had a slowing built business that now thrives.

We’ve had trips to nearly 50 national parks to hike end miles enjoying God’s creation.

It wasn’t always easy. It wasn’t always good. But it has been and always will be worth it.

Over these 26 years, we’ve always had each other. We’ve always been committed to the vows we made before God that day.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

For the 11th year, I've been awarded the Five Star Wealth Manager Award.

Is it the most prestigious award? No
Does it mean that I'm the best? No
Does it mean I'm better than someone else? No

But it does mean that my colleagues recognize something in me that stands out.

That I go beyond what's typical for my clients.
That I strive to continue to educate myself.
That I work on how I communicate planning concepts to clients.

The award is granted based on nominations from within the industry.

My colleagues, who know the most about who excels at their craft and who doesn't nominated me for this.

And for that, I'm proud.
