A SEVERE T-STORM WATCH was issued for EASTERN DFW. Large to very large hail (UP TO TENNIS BALL SIZE POSSIBLE), damaging wind gusts up to 70 MPH, and a couple of tornadoes will be possible.

Though Dallas/Denton counties are NOT included in this watch, they should still be aware of storms developing around 4-6pm. Severe storms will be the most likely to occur along/East of Route 75.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Roads are quickly turning slick. Reports of two vehicles sliding off bridges in last ten minutes on emergency scanner traffic.

PLEASE LIMIT NONESSENTIAL TRAVEL. The roads are much worse after freezing again overnight - even without added precipitation.

Y’all helped our first responders yesterday SO MUCH by simply staying home if you could. We aren’t out of the woods yet! Please keep it up until we start thawing this weekend.
