Details worth noting about yesterday's Fed rate cut.

WILL MORTGAGE RATES FALL IN RESPONSE?
The Fed does not directly control mortgage rates. In fact, investors in mortgage-backed securities often act in anticipation of Fed moves, policy rate changes, or in response to other moves. THIS EXPLAINS WHY RATES HAD ALREADY DROPPED TO THEIR LOWEST LEVELS OF THE YEAR.

It’s too early to know where rates will settle after the Fed’s action.
