Winner (closest pick of the date that Dave 1st skis) gets a $50 Cowgirl Coffee Gift Card!
If (on the day) over 800 vertical feet of legit powder turns, win an additional $50 cash!
If (on the day) Dave skis to and from the car without more than 100ft of hiking/walking, another $50 cash!
If (on the day) Dave doesn't hit a rock or snag, while skiing, win a free lift ticket to Discovery, Maverick, Lookout, Bear Paw, or Teton Pass!
If you pick the date, and a location, within an 8 mile radius, you win another $50
If you win any of the above, and can identify the Cowgirl Coffee Barista that is most committed to calling Dave, "Davy," then you and her both get $50!

After years of developing, trial and lots of error, ego, shame, stoke, disappointment and of course, entirely opinion... is releasing, THE OFFICIAL CRITERIA for the 1st ski day annually:
1) Somehow, some way.... skiing to and from the car (or reasonably close) is "possible"
2) It is somewhat possible to ski, without hitting the ground underneath the snow on most turns
3) It is not raining
4) At least a couple hundred vertical feet of skiing is possible
5) Exception policy: if the wait into the new season is getting too long, the above rules may be compromised, in order to satisfy the need...
