During this week of Homecoming for the Great White Castle High, I ask that you take a moment to lift me and my family in prayer as we prepare to lay to rest a truly GREAT man, a father figure to many, and someone whose love and presence touched countless lives.
Uncle Robert… some memories will NEVER fade. 🥹❤️
After my grandfather passed away, I remember how my grandmother could pick up that phone and call her brother Robert, and within 10 minutes, here came that familiar burgundy truck crossing those railroad tracks! Lol. ❤️
It didn’t matter what she needed or what he had going on. If his sister called, he was coming! From the day we lost my grandfather until the day my grandmother took her last breath, Uncle Robert was ALWAYS there for her and for me.
As a young boy, I didn’t fully understand the depth of that kind of love and loyalty. But one thing I knew for sure was that when I saw that burgundy truck coming across those tracks, EVERYTHING was going to be alright! 🥹❤️
That truck represented more than just a ride. It represented love, security, family, and a man who ALWAYS showed up when it mattered most.
Uncle Robert, your legacy will live on through our family and the countless students, teachers, staff members, and residents whose lives you touched. You didn’t just talk about love. You SHOWED it through your actions!
To my entire family, especially my Uncle Raymond, I’m praying for you and standing with you during this difficult time. May God grant us strength, comfort, and peace.
Uncle Robert, if I could see that burgundy truck cross those tracks just ONE more time, I’d simply say THANK YOU. Thank you for loving my grandmother, for being there for me, and for showing us what family is truly supposed to be. ❤️
Rest well, Uncle Robert. You may be gone from our sight, but NEVER from our hearts. 🕊️
And even through the tears, I’ll forever remember that burgundy truck coming across those tracks… reminding me that EVERYTHING is going to be alright. 🥹❤️
I LOVE YOU, UNCLE ROBERT! Family, I love you all! ❤️🙏🏾
