¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
As we celebrate this vibrant day filled with culture, community, and a little fun, it’s also a great time to reflect on what matters most—protecting the people and things you care about.

Cinco de Mayo (not Mexico’s Independence Day that is celebrated on September 16) commemorates a specific historical event: the Battle of Puebla. On May 5, 1862, a small and relatively under-equipped Mexican army defeated the much larger and better-armed French forces near the city of Puebla. At the Battle of Puebla, the Mexican army—led by Ignacio Zaragoza—faced a stronger, better-equipped opponent and still prevailed through preparation, determination, and resilience.

Having the right insurance is similar in spirit:

Preparedness: Just like the army prepared for battle, insurance helps you prepare for unexpected challenges.

Protection against the odds: You can’t control every risk, but you can protect yourself financially if something happens.

Confidence to move forward: Knowing you’re covered gives you peace of mind—much like resilience gives strength in difficult situations.

At Beacon Insurance Agency, we’re proud to help provide you with peace of mind every day of the year. Whether it’s your home, your vehicle, your business, or your family’s future, we’re here to make sure you’re covered through all of life’s celebrations and surprises.
Wishing you a safe, joyful, and festive Cinco de Mayo!

Easter is a season of renewal, hope, and fresh beginnings—values that also resonate strongly in the world of insurance.

As families gather to celebrate, spring cleaning, home improvements, and holiday travel often take center stage. These activities are reminders of why protection matters. Insurance exists to provide peace of mind, ensuring that life’s unexpected moments don’t overshadow times meant for joy.

Just as Easter symbolizes preparation and care, insurance encourages thoughtful planning. Reviewing policies during the spring can help homeowners address winter wear, drivers prepare for increased travel, and families confirm that their coverage still fits their needs. It’s a practical way to start the season with confidence.

At its heart, Easter is about looking forward with optimism. Insurance supports that outlook by offering security and stability, allowing individuals and families to focus on what truly matters—celebrating together, creating memories, and embracing new opportunities with reassurance and trust.

Wishing you a very happy Easter and beautiful Spring!

March 14th (3.14) is Pi Day — a fun day celebrated around the world in honor of the mathematical constant p. While mathematicians celebrate the infinite digits of pi, we like to think of it as a reminder that planning ahead and protecting what matters most can be just as satisfying as a slice of pie. Pi Day is all about recognizing something constant and reliable, and that’s exactly how we view our commitment to you. Whether it’s reviewing your insurance coverage, answering questions, or helping you prepare for the unexpected, we're here to provide steady support year-round.

As we celebrate Pi Day this year, we’d love to hear from you…

What’s your favorite kind of pie?

Pi Day is also a great reminder to make sure your financial “circle” is complete. If you’ve had any recent life changes or would like a quick review of your business, home, auto, or life coverage, we’re always happy to help.

We hope you enjoy a slice of pie this Pi Day!

On Valentine’s Day, as Emily and Josh walked through the city’s glowing streets, Josh stopped under a tree with lights, knelt, and proposed. Emily tearfully accepted, their joy marking the promise of forever.

If your Valentine’s Day plans include something sparkly, consider insurance for a lifetime of assurance. Many homeowner policies will provide for some jewelry coverage, but only up to a certain value and against certain perils like fire, vandalism or theft, but not mysterious disappearance or loss. Additionally, the policy deductible will apply to a claim.

A Personal Articles Floater (i.e.; scheduled personal property, inland marine insurance) can provide worldwide coverage for your item against all perils, with no deductible. This coverage is very inexpensive and provides for a level of security that will keep you enjoying your new sparkle for many years.

If you are interested in learning more about ways to protect the things that are important to you, please call our office. We are always happy to help.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Staying Safe This Christmas - Essential tips for a safe and happy holiday season

Holiday season is a time of joy, celebration, and togetherness. However, it’s also important to keep safety in mind as you prepare for the festivities. Whether you’re decorating your home, cooking a holiday meal, or enjoying winter activities, a few simple precautions can help ensure your season remains merry and bright.

Some holiday safety tips to consider:
• When putting up lights and decorations, inspect all cords for damage and use only those rated for indoor or outdoor use as appropriate.
• Avoid overloading electrical outlets, and always turn off lights before going to bed or leaving the house.
• If you have a live Christmas tree, keep it well-watered to reduce fire risks, and place it away from heat sources like fireplaces or radiators.
• In the kitchen, never leave cooking unattended.
• Keep flammable items like towels and oven mitts away from the stovetop, and make sure smoke detectors are working.
• For those with children or pets, ensure that decorations and small ornaments are out of reach to prevent choking hazards.

By staying mindful of these simple tips, you can enjoy a safer, happier holiday with your loved ones. Wishing you a wonderful season filled with joy and good blessings in the new year.

Celebrating Halloween safely
Halloween delights children and adults alike, offering a chance to dress up, go trick-or-treating and enjoy community events. As excitement fills the air, it is important to keep safety at the forefront to ensure everyone has a happy and secure holiday.

There are many simple steps families can take to reduce risks and focus on fun:

- Younger children should be accompanied by a trusted adult while trick-or-treating
- Older children and teens are safest traveling in groups
- All trick-or-treaters should stick to familiar, well-lit routes
- If out after dark, carry flashlights or glow sticks to increase visibility
- Never enter unfamiliar homes or accept rides from strangers
- Choose costumes with safety in mind – bright colors or add reflective tape so drivers can see trick-or-treaters more easily
- Costumes should fit properly to avoid tripping
- Keep vision unobstructed by using non-toxic face paint in lieu of masks
- Once home and before consuming treats, inspect all candy for signs of tampering or allergens – throw away anything suspicious or unwrapped

As a homeowner, you can help by keeping walkways clear and securing pets. These simple precautions allow families to enjoy all of Halloween’s magic with added peace of mind.

Wishing you a great day filled with spooky and safe fun. Should your current insurance coverage(s) be sending tingles up your back, please feel free to contact our office. We are always happy to help.

Happy Halloween!
