The September 2026 Visa Bulletin closes out the fiscal year without moving any EB-5 cutoff dates, but three developments behind the numbers matter more than the charts themselves.

The State Department finalized a higher FY2026 employment-based limit of 186,317 visas, giving EB-5 a larger overall pool. At the same time, a new advisory warns that the unreserved category could still retrogress or become unavailable before year-end, a reminder that today's favorable dates reflect current conditions rather than a lasting trend. All of this arrives as the September 30 grandfathering deadline is now just weeks away.

Our latest blog breaks down what this month's bulletin means for EB-5 investors and why category selection remains one of the most consequential decisions in the process.

EB-5 leads first to a Green Card, not citizenship, and understanding that distinction shapes how families plan for the years ahead.

Permanent residence brings the right to live and work in the US, but citizenship carries additional rights, including voting and passport access, and requires its own eligibility timeline through naturalization, generally five years after becoming a permanent resident.

Our latest blog explains the differences between permanent residency and citizenship, and what EB-5 families should consider when planning for each. Read the full article here: https://hubs.li/Q04sGQVz0

LCR Capital Partners is pleased to announce that USCIS has approved the amended I-956F filing for The Tower at Convergence, LCR's EB-5 project in Oklahoma City's Innovation District, confirming that the offering's current structure and terms are now fully approved.

The amendment followed LCR joining the fund as co-manager and making revisions designed to strengthen investor protections and offer more favorable terms for participating families.

As a High Unemployment Area project, The Tower at Convergence qualifies for the 10% visa set-aside category, giving investors priority processing and access to reserved visa numbers that remain more insulated from the backlogs affecting unreserved filings.

Not every EB-5 project can say this: Airabella is moving forward regardless of market conditions or EB-5 fundraising, because demand for the community has already been clearly demonstrated.

That is the kind of fundamental strength LCR looks for before adding a project to its portfolio. A project that depends entirely on EB-5 capital to move forward carries a different risk profile than one that is advancing on its own merits, with EB-5 investment adding to an already strong position.

Some of our strongest client relationships are the ones built over years, not months.

EB-5 is rarely a single transaction. It is a long-term partnership that asks families to place their trust in a team through every twist the process brings, and that trust is earned through consistency and transparency at every step, not just at the beginning.

For many EB-5 families, the most important tax planning decisions happen before the Green Card is ever activated.

Once someone becomes a US tax resident, the US can tax worldwide income and require added reporting on foreign accounts, trusts, pensions, and business interests, which is why reviewing these areas early often gives families more flexibility than waiting until after their move.

Our latest blog covers what EB-5 families should review before migrating, from foreign asset reporting to trust planning and state tax exposure. Read the full article here: https://hubs.li/Q04vbt9W0

A new study from Visual Capitalist, drawing on the UBS Global Wealth Report 2026, found that the United States added 441,078 new millionaires in 2025, nearly half of all new millionaires worldwide and more than 10 times the total added by the United Kingdom, the next-ranked country.

For families considering where to live, study, work, and invest, this kind of wealth creation is a strong signal about the opportunity the US continues to offer. It is also a reminder of why so many EB-5 investors see the United States not just as an immigration destination, but as a place to build long-term financial security for their families.

An article recently published by EB5Investors examines why Brazil has become one of the EB-5 program's fastest-growing markets, featuring insights from Marcelo Gorenstein, Senior Director, Latin America at LCR Capital Partners.

Marcelo explains that for many Brazilian families, EB-5's appeal comes down to control and certainty: it is one of the few paths to a US Green Card that does not require an employer sponsor or an extraordinary ability case. He also points to currency diversification as a key driver, noting that the real's depreciation has made a dollar-denominated EB-5 investment both a path to residency and a hedge against continued currency erosion.

Airabella at Lake Oconee is one of LCR Capital Partners' current EB-5 projects, and its rural designation gives investors a meaningful advantage: priority processing and access to the 20% of EB-5 visas reserved for rural investments.

Set on 137 acres in Georgia's growing Lake Oconee region, Airabella is a master-planned resort community featuring townhomes, single-family residences, a 125-key resort hotel, an executive golf course, and more than 134,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and office space. The project has already received I-956F and I-526E approval from USCIS, with a minimum investment of $800,000 and more than 22 projected jobs per investor.

Receiving a conditional Green Card through EB-5 is a major milestone, but it isn't the finish line.

The two-year conditional residence period is the bridge to a permanent Green Card, and families should use it to maintain real ties to the US, stay current on tax and legal obligations, and prepare for Form I-829, which must be filed in the 90-day window before the second anniversary of conditional residence.

Our latest blog walks through what to expect during this period and how to avoid common mistakes along the way.
