According to the latest data from the FBI, property losses from burglaries in the U.S. reached $3.6 billion in 2015. Small jewels are a huge part of that. If you have small valuables, they may need additional coverage. Give me a ring, so we can talk over your bling.

Food Hack:
Freeze strawberries and add to cocktails for a stunning presentation. They will chill the drinks like ice and add a nice detail to the taste along the way.

Just like fingerprints, no two dog noses are the same. Some states actually use “nose prints” to help identify lost pups.

Fun with Kids:
Paint in a bag
Squeeze paint into a large Ziploc bag and tape the bag to a window. This activity is great for toddlers who want to paint, and perfect for parents who can’t deal with the thought of changing their kid yet again.

Fun with Kids:
Throw some “dart” sponges
Turn the classic bar game into a kid-friendly competition. Use sidewalk chalk to draw a bull’s eye and target. Then put sponges into a bucket full of water to soak and have the kids take turns to see if they can hit the center circle.

Summer Hack:
Easily Remove Sand

Baby powder is quite possibly the best thing that ever happened to adults. Honestly. If you are heading to the beach, take along some baby powder. Believe it or not, if you sprinkle your sand covered feet with baby powder when you’re ready to leave, the sand will literally fall off. Instead of tracking up your car and worse, your carpeting at home, with sand, you can just remove it easily with the baby powder. It works and it works really well. Plus, baby powder is much cheaper than shampooing carpets to get that sand out.

Summer Hack:
Arrange Condiments in Style

A muffin tin serves as the perfect condiment server. Really. You just add your condiments to the little compartments and voila! You have the perfect serving tray for ketchup, mustard, relish, and anything else that you are serving. This works well for cookouts or anytime you are serving nachos or other dishes that require several condiments. Another trick, if you are serving outside, is to place cupcake papers upside down over the cupcake sections to protect your condiments from bugs. They fit perfectly and will help to keep those pesky flies from landing on your food.

Summer Hack:
Damp grass- No problem! Blow up a kiddie pool to keep blankets dry while watching fireworks or stargazing.

Summer Hack:
Forget the Mosquitos

If mosquitos tend to enjoy you for breakfast (or lunch or dinner), you can avoid the itchiness by applying toothpaste. For some reason, toothpaste really helps to ease the itch of a mosquito bite. You just dab a little on the bite and it will instantly stop the itching. Keep a tube in your summer first aid kit or in the car to help alleviate the itching while you are away from home. It’s cheaper than anti-itch medication and it really does the job well.
