As we go through life we have many ups and downs, feelings of invincibility and vulnerability, successes and failures, but we seldom think about the what ifs! I stroll through Facebook to see how my friends growing up are doing now. Sometimes I comment instead of just hitting the like, love or care button but that is not as often as I should. However in the past few months I have seen several of my friends pass away and I often wonder what will happen to their family now. I hope that they had something set up to take care of their loved ones after they are gone but unfortunately more often than not, they have not. My guess is they thought it wouldn’t happen to them, just as I used to believe, but unfortunately our family had to find out the hard way with close relatives. I now blame myself for not reaching out and talking to them about some form of life insurance, whether it be a tax free, tax deferred or just a less expensive term life policy. If you don’t have anything set up or just want some friendly free advice, please reach out to me. I would be happy to discuss and help guide you in finding what makes sense for you. We all have different needs and affordability factors, but none of us can afford to be unprepared for the what if!!
