💡 Tip Tuesday: Small amounts can make a meaningful difference.

Saving $25 a week adds up to $1,300 in 52 weeks—before interest. Set a goal, choose an amount that fits your budget, and automate it.

What would you put that $1,300 toward?

I don’t know about your office, but at mine, people are starting to play detective, trying to figure out which messages were written by AI and which weren’t. 😂

Who cares?!

Are we really spending time on this? Would you rather go back to sloppy, unproofread emails and poorly written communication?

If the message is clear, professional, and gets the point across, what exactly is the problem?

Focus on the message, not how it was written.

Whatever. 🤷🏽‍♂️

💰 You Work Hard for Your Money. But What's It Working Toward?

Financial success isn't just about how much money you earn or accumulate. It's about what that money allows you to accomplish.

✔️ Maintaining financial stability
✔️ Protecting yourself and your family from the unexpected
✔️ Creating more choices in retirement
✔️ Building wealth with purpose
✔️ Leaving a meaningful legacy

At P. Randolph Financial Group, we believe financial planning should start with a simple but powerful question:

“What do you want your money to make possible?”

Your financial goals are personal. Your financial plan should be, too.

When your money has a purpose, your financial decisions have direction.

💬 What's one thing you'd like your money to help you accomplish?

A Thought on Tipping Culture and Business Responsibility

I believe in tipping. I believe in rewarding great service, recognizing hard work, and showing appreciation to people who go above and beyond.

But I also believe we need to have an honest conversation about where tipping culture is headed.

The more consumers become comfortable supplementing employees' income through tips, the more opportunities businesses have to shift the responsibility of compensation onto customers.

Think about that for a moment.

Restaurants didn't always operate under the tipped-wage structure we know today. Over time, tipping became so embedded in the industry that paying certain employees a lower base hourly wage became an accepted business model.

Now we're seeing requests for tips expand into industries and transactions where tipping was never traditionally expected.

My concern isn't with the employees. They're simply trying to earn a living.

My concern is with businesses potentially using the generosity of customers as a reason to pay their employees less.

As a business owner, I believe compensation should fundamentally be the responsibility of the employer. Customer generosity should be an added benefit, not the foundation of someone's paycheck.

We should absolutely reward exceptional service. But we should also ask ourselves whether we're unintentionally encouraging a business model that transfers more labor costs to consumers.

A tip should be a thank-you, not a company's compensation strategy.

Curious to hear your thoughts. Are we rewarding good service, or are we gradually being asked to subsidize payroll?

Client meetings with a Los Angeles backdrop. An incredible setting for meaningful conversations about what comes next.

While I’m here, I’m taking time to enjoy the views and appreciate the character of this beautiful area. Travel always reminds me how differently people envision a fulfilling life—and how personal financial planning should be.

The opportunity to spend more time somewhere you love. The freedom to step away from work. The ability to be present for family. Those details give the numbers their purpose.

Grateful for the clients who invite me into those conversations and trust me to help plan for the life they envision.

A gentleman once asked me, “Can you share a little about how you got to where you are today?”

My answer was simple.

You have to be willing to take on other people's stresses with integrity, love, kindness, and a willingness to do the research and find solutions—without giving your own stresses back to them.

I've learned that success isn't just about what you accomplish for yourself. It's about how you treat people, the burdens you're willing to help carry, and the peace of mind you can bring to someone else's life.

We all have our own challenges, but true character is revealed in how we show up for others despite them.

Be a solution, not another source of stress.
