Scammers are spoofing bank phone numbers and pretending to be trusted financial institutions. They may create a sense of urgency, ask for passwords or PINs, request money transfers, or try to gain access to your accounts.

Remember: A legitimate bank will never ask you to move money to a "safe" account or share sensitive information over the phone.

Today, Mindy and Brittany delivered "Stop the Bleed" medic kits to Baxter Schools to be included in the safety backpacks Sheriff Britton has been assembling for school staff. These backpacks help ensure staff are better prepared to respond during emergencies.

While visiting, we also had the pleasure of meeting K-9, John, and learning about the positive impact he has on the Baxter Community School District.

Last Friday, we said goodbye to our summer intern, Laney, as she wrapped up her time with the State Savings Bank team.

Laney was a great addition to our West Des Moines Universal Banker team. She was always ready to jump in, lend a hand, and greet each day with a positive attitude and a smile.

As Laney heads back to St. Cloud State University to continue pursuing her degree in Exercise Science, we want to thank her for her time spent with us and wish her the very best in the upcoming school year.

We sure do love the Jasper County Fair!🐥💛

This past week, our lobby had a very special guest—a quirky duck from the Jasper County Fair’s "Bucket of Junk" Contest! 🦆🔧

The challenge? Teams receive a bucket of random "junk" and must use at least 75% of the items to create a sculpture or lawn art masterpiece. We'd say this duck turned out pretty egg-cellent!

Don't let this feathered friend fly away! On July 23, all of the contest creations will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Jasper County 4-H Scholarship Fund.

Come support a great cause and see how creative a bucket of junk can become! 💚
