Our GuideOne and The Mutual Group interns recently teamed up and volunteered with Junior Achievement of Central Iowa to support students at JA BizTown®.
This immersive program blends classroom learning with a full day in a simulated town, where young students take on real-world roles, including running businesses, managing finances, and even voting for mayor. It’s a powerful way for young learners to see how their education connects to everyday life.
Our interns are also investing in their own development through Junior Achievement. As part of their internship experience, they’re working toward the Junior Achievement Essential Work Skills Credential, an industry-recognized certification that strengthens the foundational career skills employers value most.
They’ll complete six micro-learning badges focused on communication, collaboration, and professional engagement with clients, customers, coworkers, and managers – building practical skills that prepare them for success in today’s workforce.
Once completed, they’ll earn a résumé boosting credential that highlights their commitment to growth and career readiness.
We’re proud to support the development and future careers of these emerging professionals.
