Welcome, interns — we’re glad you’re here!

We’re excited to kick off the summer with our newest group of interns joining GuideOne and The Mutual Group. This year’s program is built to give them a meaningful, hands-on look at corporate life while helping them grow both personally and professionally.

Throughout the summer, interns will collaborate on a Capstone project designed to strengthen teamwork, problem solving, and communication. Their work will culminate in a presentation to members of our executive leadership — a valuable opportunity to showcase their ideas and insights.

They’ll also participate in the Junior Achievement program, where they’ll complete work skills courses, earn credentials, and build experience that will serve them well in their future careers.

Beyond the office, interns will have the chance to connect with leaders and peers across the community through events hosted by the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

Our “Insure Your Future” interns will also rotate through multiple departments across The Mutual Group and GuideOne, giving them a broader understanding of how various teams work.

We’re proud to support their professional journey, help them build meaningful connections, and create an environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

We kicked off Mental Health Awareness Month with important words of affirmation at our "Chalk the Town Green" event where employees turned sidewalks into spaces of encouragement by sharing messages that remind others they’re seen and supported.
We also held a “Wear Green Day” to show how a simple tie or T-shirt can send a powerful message to help end the stigma around mental health: You’re seen, you’re valued, and you’re not alone.
At GuideOne, we take pride in cultivating an environment where every employee has the support they need to succeed.
