Big changes are coming to Iowa Finance Authority down payment assistance options.

Beginning November 2, 2026, new loan reservations will have two second mortgage assistance options:

UPDATED: 5% Second Mortgage — up to 5% of the purchase price, up to $15,000

Both options can be used toward eligible down payment and closing costs, with no monthly payments required.
