Why you should own a commercial building at least once in your life. . .
I have owned a commercial building for over ten years now, and have learned lifelong experiential lessons of business ownership. I have not only been a property owner, but a building manager, landlord, renovator, money manager, board member, community giver and business educator . . . all while building equity. You learn how to manage resources when you own a commercial building. Also, you not only gain entrepreneurial skills, but learn to deposit value in your community. Revitalizing a town's center is a lot of work. But, the rewards are immeasurable. Does money make you happy? Studies show that our propensity for happiness is . . . 50% inherited from our parents, 40% based on our exercise and social behavior, and only 10% based on income and beauty. Less than half a person's propensity to be happy is based on choice. So, some people are naturally happier than others. They were born happy. The person that is happy because they have money is happy because they know how to spend it properly to better their quality of life. In a sense, add quality = be happy.
