West Union Bank

West Union Bank Locally owned since 1893, we value community, family, security, wise money management & honesty.

West Union Bank’s Beginnings...
The West Union Bank was established on April 11, 1893 in West Union, WV. The Bank began doing business on the corner of Columbia and Court Streets in West Union, Doddridge County. In 1937, the Bank moved to its second location on Main Street, West Union. In 1974, the Bank finished constructing a third building, which, to this day, is two doors down from its previous

location. This third location is the current home of the West Union Bank in West Union, at 212 Main Street. In response to the popularity of the Bank’s services outside its home county, West Union Bank began opening new offices, the first in 1986 in Salem, Harrison County, and the second in 1989 in Pennsboro, Ritchie County. The Bank’s continued growth led to the construction of an addition to the West Union office in 1997 to provide additional space. In 2002, West Union Bank added a fourth office at Harrisville in Ritchie County. In 2005, a fifth office opened at Clarksburg in Harrison County. We VALUE the communities we serve, and we serve them with TIME and RESPONSIBLE MONEY MANAGEMENT.

We’re so proud of our local kids! West Union Bank was excited to sponsor Tanner at the Harrison County Livestock Show & Sale. Tanner and other local kids worked very hard to show and care for their animals. Thank you, especially, to our Clarksburg Branch Manager, Kelli Harris (NMLS # 1157330), who attended this event on our behalf! We greatly appreciate Kelli’s dedication, positive attitude, and partnership with our local communities! . Member FDIC. Equal Housing Lender.

SCAM ALERT! FAKE PRIZES. Beware of being contacted about winning a prize for a contest that you do not remember entering. Scammers may request that you send in shipping to have your prize mailed to you, and you’ll never receive the prize. OR scammers may ask you to send back a portion of a check/winnings that you receive in the mail. They rely on people to send in funds before realizing that the check they received was actually fraudulent. You could be taking place in “money laundering” and be an unsuspecting “money mule” who helps to move fraudulent funds. OR they may ask for your bank account information so prize winnings can be wired directly to your account.

PROTECT YOURSELF: An honest company would never ask you to pay or contribute any money to access winnings. Never cash a check for a company and then send a portion of that money back. Look up the name of any company, along with the word “scam” or “complaint,” to see if they are legitimate, or trying to scam you. Never provide your account information to someone who calls, claiming they need personal confidential information in order to send money.
