Short Story Time: A young lady I know got her car insurance through Progressive Direct because it was cheaper.
She called me and said: I hit a deer, so I made a claim on my progressive insurance.
Me: What's your deductible?
Her: $2,000
Me: At least you had full coverage, you just have to come up with the first $2,000
Her: What? I have to pay $2,000?
Me: That's what the deductible is. You pay the first $2,000
