Celebrating 60 years. πŸ’™

On September 1, 1966, S. David Gohn began his career at West Plains Bank and Trust Company. After spending his first few years as a teller, David gradually worked his way into lending before eventually becoming President of the bank. In 1994, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors, a role he continues to serve in today.

Six decades later, David credits much of the bank’s success over the years to the many great employees who have been part of West Plains Bank and Trust Company and to a forward-thinking Board of Directors. Together, they have helped the bank grow and succeed throughout the years.

Today, we’re honored to celebrate David and an incredible 60 years of service to West Plains Bank and Trust Company, his community, and the banking industry. His leadership and dedication have helped shape our bank into what it is today, and we’re grateful for the impact he continues to make.

Congratulations on 60 years, Chairman! πŸŽ‰πŸ’™

August kept us busy! From back-to-school events to community partnerships and plenty of fun along the way, here's a look at what we've been up to:

πŸ›οΈ Chloe Luck, Katherine Baker, Milas Thompson, and Haley Yeager passed out goodies on the square during the West Plains Downtown Stroll!

πŸŽ’ At the Bridges Back to School Fair, our team helped pack bags for local students heading back to school.

β›³We were proud to once again sponsor the Folds of Honor Golf Tournament! David M. Gohn and Cass Johnson joined in the presentation of this year's check.

πŸŽ‰ Houston School-A-Palooza was a great time with Amanda Hamilton and Riley Johannes joining in on the back-to-school fun!

β›³ Amanda Hamilton and Curt Hugenot joined our friend Buck to help spread the word about a golf tournament benefiting the Houston Senior Center in his honor. The tournament is September 12, so there's still time to sign up!

🎀 At MSU-WP's Professional Development Day, Ann Marie Newberry, Grace Doss, Becca Phelps, Laura Antinoro, and Nathan Cropper participated in a panel to share a little about the culture that makes West Plains Bank and Trust Company such a special place to work.

πŸ’§ Our team helped keep everyone cool at Mountain View's Back to School Night by passing out water on a hot evening! Pictured are Jack Randolph, Jay Head, and Eric Wells.

πŸ₯€ The Richards Elementary teaching staff got a special Meet the Teacher Night delivery from Jeannie Cox. Sonic drinks for the whole crew!

πŸ’Ό The MSU-WP Job Fair gave Carla Cates, Becca Phelps, and Courtney Rieskamp a chance to meet with students and share more about West Plains Bank and Trust Company.

πŸ’™ We were proud to present a sponsorship check to the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation for the upcoming Blue Jean Ball.

🌯 Jack Randolph's famous "Brat-ritos" made for a pretty great employee lunch!

Another busy month in the books! πŸ’™
