The annual Medicare Enrollment Period is coming up, October 15-December 7. During this time you can review and make changes to your Medicare Advantage Plan and your prescription drug plan. Plans are changing and it's important to watch the mail for your ANNUAL NOTICE OF CHANGE (ANOC) that should arrive in your mailbox in September. We’re still in the “dog days” of summer but soon enough Medicare Annual Enrollment will be here and there are some changes with Medicare Part D plans for 2027!

CMS has announced that the Part D Premium Stabilization Demonstration will end after 2026, meaning Part D plans will return to more traditional market conditions for 2027. This could lead to more changes in premiums and plan costs from one plan to another.

This could mean your current prescription drug plan may not be your best option for 2027.

It is important to review your plan each fall, especially if you take many medications.
