Banks prefer to do new cars because of the warranty and the factory rebates that make getting the car at a lower price then what's really worth.
Another thing will be the car you are considering. NEW cars with good, high rebates are more easily bought by banks than cars offering no factory incentives.
But if you must assist on getting a pre-own cars. You would look pretty impressive to the banks if the car fall with a few factors: - 3 years or less - No more then 40k - No accidents

What's the maximum amount of monthly payment you can afford based on your income?
Banks like to see 15% or less of your gross monthly pay as a car payment. So if you gross $4,000/mo. pay, a comfortable payment should be under $600 per month.

You can get a pretty good estimate by following the "Rule of 18" based on what you feel is a comfortable monthly payment. Let me explain.
You decide you can comfortably afford a payment of $450/month:
-Take your $450 and divide by 18. That gives you 25. -Multiply that 25 1000 = 25000, or in other words, $25,000
Now, keep in mind this total includes sales tax, title and dealer fees. So you would be safe to back $2500 out of that total.

The 4 factors of buying a car
Regardless where your FICO falls, there are four (4) other things that will determine the amount of your loan.
The first would be your income and job history.
The second would be cash down.
The third would be cash down.
The fourth would be cash down.
***The more of #2, #3, and #4 you can do, the better the odds. ***

!! !! !! Car Buying Tips !! !! !!
Your credit score IS a big part of getting a bank approval.
If your FICO is 700 or higher, you're gold.
If your FICO is 640 to 699, you're silver.
If your FICO is 600 to 639, you're bronze.
If your FICO is under 600, you're pretty much lead.

Trust me, I know it gets tempting and one at some point of life, we have all been guilty of it. Let's face it, social media, society and your own social circle doesn't make it any better. At some point, we have all played victim to trying to "Keep Up with the Joneses". No one wants to appear to be the poor person in the group or it is always that one person that stunts to keep from looking like the poor person in the group.

Keep up with the Joneses is also known as "Financial Peer Pressure" "Financial peer pressure is a real problem that can affect people of all ages. According to a study conducted by the American Institute of CPAs, about "78% of young adults look at the financial habits of their friends to determine their own habits." Another 66% admitted that they strived to keep up with their peers in terms of living conditions, and two-thirds of consumers feel some level of financial peer pressure." -Wisebread.com

Everything has a price, right? It is said that financial peer pressure can lead to stress, high and uncalled-for debt, bad credit, impulsive shopping, and depression. Consumers spend billions of dollars a year purchasing new items due the influence of peers.

Here are a few tips on how to put an end to the "Keeping up the Joneses" Syndrome.
1. Learn to value yourself and not possessions.
2. Don't compare yourself to others.
3. Don't be fooled by social media.
4. Don't spend what you don't have.
5. Don't be ashamed of your financial limitations.

Isn’t that exciting?!! Anything a credit repair company can do, you can do yourself. That is why I always provide free DIY credit repair tips on my page.

I remember when I first got on Instagram, I could count the number of credit repair companies on my hand. Now, EVERYONE and their mom does credit repair on IG. I don't have a problem with that. There is a dying need to educate the public on the importance of having good credit. What does bother me however, is when I see other credit repair companies on social media provide false information and tell people that in order to get great credit repair results, you must need to seek a credit repair service.
________________________________________
So, I am going to say something that most credit repair companies will shun upon me saying...YOU CAN REPAIR YOUR CREDIT YOURSELF! Like with anything else, you would pay a credit repair company for their knowledge, expertise and to save time. Time vs Money. You can represent yourself in court, but you chose to get an attorney. You can do your own taxes but you chose to use a tax preparer. You can even home school your children, but you send them off to school. Why? Because they are professionals. You are paying for knowledge and you're paying for it to be done right! It's doesn't matter who repairs your credit as long as it's being repaired correctly!
