You have less time than you think you do.
I don’t say that to scare anyone.
I say it because I’ve watched it happen.
The attorneys I work with are among the most disciplined, driven people I know.
They manage complex cases, demanding clients, and high-stakes decisions every single day.
But the things that matter most to them personally?
Those keep getting pushed.
Not because they don’t care.
Because the urgent keeps drowning out the important.
The estate plan they’ve been meaning to update.
The investment strategy they’ve been meaning to build.
The financial plan that actually reflects who they are today, not who they were five years ago.
It stays on the list.
And the list stays untouched.
Here’s what I’ve seen too many times:
People who were certain they had more time.
Five years passed.
Then ten.
Then fifteen.
And they’d done less than they planned.
Not because they were lazy.
Because tomorrow always felt like enough time.
Tomorrow isn’t promised.
But even if it is… even if you get every year you’re hoping for… the years move faster than you expect.
The best time to prioritize what matters most is right now.
Not next quarter.
Not after this case closes.
Now.
