From Judith Palmer, GA.
I am a widower and retired Director of Human Resources who was paid quite well to make sound decisions for my company, staff and myself. Needless to say, I was very much a control freak. So when I started to lose my eyesight in one eye, and after much prayer, I decided like many to sell my wonderful home and move closer to family. I continued to pray for guidance as my challenge was to sell my house and buy another one and close timely on both. Never did I expect to sell my house the first day it listed and then be told to be out in one month’s time. Blessed but scared! My highly seasoned brain went to mush. I prayed again for guidance and hesitantly called Responsible Life to inquire about a HECM mortgage. I could not have been blessed more. Nancy Pedone, Chris Ward, and team are not only knowledgeable but accessible and caring. They completely took the reins and successfully guided me through the entire process. Even though I was told early on it could possibly take 45 to 60 days to close on my new home, they understood my need and felt the sense of urgency and the team got me through the process in time to close on the home I was selling and move right into my new home on time. It was closed in 23 days! I would also like to say that I am quite selective when placing my livelihood and future into some else’s hands. This decision, along with the answer to many prayers, has allowed me to peacefully sleep knowing all is well. Thank you Responsible Life for caring.
