Hello all.
As everyone makes their preparations for Milton’s landfall, my heart goes out to folks that were already severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. I am praying for everyone’s safety and a successful rebuild. I am also praying for the lives lost and the folks still missing.
I have been a licensed insurance adjuster, since 2012. I have been a licensed public adjuster, since 2018. After working with the insurance companies, my knowledge and moral compass lead to where I am now. I help the homeowner fight against the insurance companies that do not want to pay or do not want to pay enough, during your greatest time of need.
Please, stay safe and we can deal with the claims process in the aftermath.
For now, I recommend to get a copy of your homeowners insurance, both flood and wind policies. If you are a renter, make sure you get a copy of your renter’s policy. Take photos of the exterior of your home, all of the rooms in your home, and your contents (electronics, clothes, furniture).
Follow all local and state evacuation and preparation instructions.

Our prayers go out to the families affected by Hurricane Idalia. It swept thru the area as a powerful category 3 storm causing devastation. 🙏🏼
We hope everyone is safe, first and foremost.

On Friday, September 23, 2022, Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for 24 counties, as we prepare for potential landfall of Tropical Depression 9. ⛈️ 🌀
At Avila Public Adjusting Group, your safety is # 1. Please, prepare accordingly. It’s better to be over prepared than underprepared. Here are a few steps to take in preparation:
1) Check your local area for evacuation notifications and routes.
Buy food, water, emergency supplies.
2) Take photos of the exterior and interior of your home, pre storm landfall. A photo of each room is preferable.
3) Locate your current and active insurance policy
4) Save and share our information
5) Stay alert of updates and follow all state and local orders

If and when this storm makes landfall, call us right away for a free insurance policy review and damage assessment. Your policy requires homeowners to mitigate damages and file claims timely. We will make sure you get emergency mitigation services, as we work on getting you a settlement to make full repairs. As per the emergency order, a public adjuster can only charge 10% for this service. 🏡 💰
