Hey everyone, just a heads up on a new SCAM/VIRUS that we have been seeing. If you shop online please read! People are now sending out emails and disguising them as amazon.com purchase confirmation emails. They look genuine because they have a tracking number, and other links just like the real emails do.

What happens is you click the tracking number, or any of the links in the email and it directs you to a totally different site, this site could infect your computer with a trojan type virus, or it could ask you for financial information!

I just want to remind everyone that the internet can be a dangerous place, but as long as you are careful you can feel confident while you shop online. Here are a few tips to help avoid these kinds of emails.

1. Always remember sites like eBay, Paypal, Amazon and others will never email you and ask you for your personal finance information

2. Always check the senders email address, if it ends in paypal.com, ebay.com, Amazon.com etc... they are usually genuine.

3. If you ever question an email, send it directly to the company in question! They will gladly help you.

4. Change your passwords as often as you can. This is a fantastic way to prevent unwanted access to any of your information. It may seem like a headache, but not as big of a headache as losing everything you own because of one password!

Those are just a few i can think of off the top of my head, anyone got any you wanna share?
