Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference. ❤️
This Youth Month, our Morongo Branch was honored to donate backpacks filled with school supplies and hygiene kits to the James A. Venable Community Center in Cabazon.
The center is much more than a building—it serves as a gathering place for the community, providing hot meals, after-school programs, and year-round support for local youth and families. It's also where the Morongo Band of Mission Indians continues its tradition of giving back through its annual turkey donations, helping ensure families are cared for during the holiday season.
During our visit, we learned how meaningful these donations would be. The team at the community center shared that they had not received any backpack donations this year and expressed how grateful they were to receive them for the children and families they serve.
Every backpack represents more than school supplies. It represents a child walking into the classroom with confidence, a family feeling supported, and a community coming together to lift one another up.
To everyone at the James A. Venable Community Center, thank you for the incredible work you do every day. We are grateful to play a small part in supporting the youth and families of Cabazon.
Together, small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors. 💙🧡
