I had a very sad conversation with a realtor this morning. I had preapproved her client for a 1st time home buyer Fha loan and I had to tell her that the young family is no longer able to qualify and purchase a home in America.
She asked “Why is this Lonnie?” I said “Our President no longer is allowing anyone on a work visa to get an Fha loan (or Usda for that matter)”
These people pay tremendous amounts of money to immigration attornies and are here legally. The clients are often the brightest and best in their fields and are sponsored by large successful US companies.
This gentleman has a Doctorate degree and was transferring from Harvard to Upenn to do further cancer research at Upenn.
In 25 my years of experience I can tell you that these buyers always pay their mortggaes. Is that not what we want?
The Realtor mainly works mainly within her community of Iranians or as she says Persians. She asked me why is this happening and the only answer that I could giver her is that our present government has decided that certain people...MOSTLY OF COLOR should no longer be able to share in the American dream of home ownership. Every vote matters!!
