Big week in the mortgage world. The Fed held interest rates steady, and Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh made headlines with his comments following the decision.

Also caught an interview with Senator John Kennedy (LA), who called inflation "pernicious," extremely harmful, dangerous, even deadly. Strong word. Strong point.

There's real talk of a quarter point bump at the next Fed meeting. But here's the thing: that doesn't necessarily mean mortgage rates go up too. We could actually see rates hold steady or even dip a bit.

Bottom line:
🔑 If you're under contract, talk to your lender about locking your rate. Don't leave it to chance.
🔑 Rates will come down eventually, and when they do, refinancing puts you in an even better spot.
🔑 Homeownership still builds wealth, even in today's rate environment. Owning beats renting, period.

If you don't see a future where you are, why stay? 🤔

We talk about bringing value to our building partners all the time, but that same mindset has to apply to our own people. Our loan officers deserve real growth, even if that eventually means they branch out on their own.

But here's the thing: wouldn't it be better if they built that future within our organization? Grew their own branch, found success with us at EMM, and you got to be part of that journey?

That's what real leadership looks like. Not holding people back, but building a place worth growing in.
