My therapy...with one of the worst summers I can remember for lawn care (insects, heat, etc) me & the bride used the SunJoe scarifier/dethatcher to "dig 'er up" & thro-down Hammonton Turf Farms Tall Fescue (70%) Blue Grass (30%) blend/starter fertilizer 7-14-7...staff says that's what's used on their sod @ places like CBP, The Linc, & numerous professional stadiums across the country! Backyard is almost toast with the drought(most are experiencing this currently in our area)side of property is "Mole City"...so when these conditions arise (first for us) just concentrated on front, will revisit in spring to get LuziFunLand ready for gkids/parties etc...people in neighborhood ask how do you keep it so green...YouTube educational videos for sure, but like my Dad used to say...Carl, " If you can find something to give you little victories (joy)each wk , you'll get thru life much easier...".
So I also use it for fitness (walking) picking weeds, etc (flexibility) lifting "stuff" to keep knees, back in decent shape...so instead of it being a "chore" it becomes "therapeutic"... let's face it, a day outside beats a day inside anytime! (exception being extreme heat or cold, bad weather, etc)...so as this yr ends, & a new yr will be here shortly...maybe think about "Since I have to cut it anyway, why not cut a nice lawn? So instead of a chore, it becomes a "Victory"...after all, don't we all need something to add to our lives to look forward to each day? Oh...with all the work in the beginning this project needs, I did pray for that seed to germinate!...seemed like it took forever (14ish days)& h2o (see YouTube videos for all the steps, gotta wrap this book report up!) Have fun, enjoy it, & remember bottom line it will also increase your property value too! Have a blessed day on your new journey...feel free to message me if you decide to "add a victory to your life each day!" (Now if I can fix our pressure washer & clean that concrete!:-)
