To help with your project, you'll receive a fun package in the mail that includes a $200 bank card, T-shirts for your crew, and other items to make your project successful.

Members can apply to receive $200 in seed money to coordinate a small-scale volunteer project with family and friends. Modern Woodmen will award a limited number of grants per year on a first-come, first-served basis.

Every four years, Modern Woodmen members across the country elect delegates to gather for a National Convention. This representative form of government is part of what makes us unique as a fraternal financial services organization.

Our 45th National Convention will take place this month in Orlando, Florida.

One of the best parts of my job is that I get to do more of the things I love while meeting incredible new people along the way. Every connection, conversation, and experience reminds me how important relationships really are when it comes to helping others.

And sometimes… my job even includes hanging out with other creatures too — like Pickles, the baby monkey!

Making meaningful connections is essential to what I do, and getting to have fun while doing it is an added bonus!

I’d like to introduce you to my grandparents, Shirley and Elroy.

Like many couples, they dreamed of raising their children, building a life together, and eventually enjoying the fruits of their hard work. But those plans were cut short when my grandpa Elroy passed away far too young.

What could have been an overwhelming and uncertain future for my grandma, my mom, and her brother was softened by one important decision: he planned ahead with life insurance. Because of that foresight, my mom and I always had a place to call home.

My story is unique to me, but it’s not uncommon. So many families prepare for life’s happiest moments without realizing how quickly tragedy can change everything.

That’s why I’m passionate about helping others plan not only for the best moments in life, but also preparing for the unexpected. Because protecting the people you love is one of the greatest gifts you can leave behind.
