Harvest is in full swing, the combine is rolling, and the calendar is filling up! 🚜 But before October gets away from you, mark these two important crop insurance dates:

📆 OCTOBER 14
🌱 Forage Production underwriting & acreage reports are due!

📆 OCTOBER 15
🌾 Final plant date for Winter Wheat!

Two dates. One busy month. And hopefully, plenty of coffee. ☕😄

🚨 SALES CLOSING DEADLINE – SEPTEMBER 30 🚨

As harvest gets underway, don’t forget that September 30 is the sales closing date for Wheat and Forage Production insurance. 🌾
Before the deadline, be sure to:
✅ Review your current coverage and make any needed changes
✅ Make sure your entity information is correct and matches your FSA records
✅ Let us know if you are adding new land or breaking native sod, grass mix, or CRP
✅ Ask us about your 2027 Wheat projected price of $8.11
✅ Learn about the new Yield Protection and Revenue Protection options for 2027 Forage Production

Harvest is a busy time of year, so don’t miss these important crop insurance dates:
📅 Sept. 30 – Sales Closing
Wheat & Forage Production
Make coverage changes by 9/30
Review your entity information and make sure it matches FSA records
Notify us if you’re adding new land, breaking native sod, grass mix, or CRP
2027 projected wheat price: $8.11
For 2027, Forage Production can now be insured under Yield Protection or Revenue Protection in addition to APH.
📅 Oct. 14 – Forage Production underwriting/acreage reports due
📅 Oct. 15 – Final plant date for Winter Wheat
📅 Nov. 14 – Final date for Wheat APH & Forage Production production reports
📅 Nov. 15 – Final date to report Winter Wheat & Fall Seeded Alfalfa acres
📅 Dec. 1 – PRF Sales Closing
PRF provides rainfall-based coverage for pasture, rangeland and forage, with coverage available up to 150% of the county base value.
💡 Reminder: If you received SDRP/ERP payments through FSA, you must continue to insure those crops for the next two years.
