Please note that the Fairlee Customer Appreciation Day will once again be held at 320 Main Street in Fairlee, VT. Also, our Wells River Customer Appreciation Day will take place on Thursday, June 18th instead of Friday in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

What an incredible night and an even more incredible community. We can’t thank our neighbors and employees enough for making Saturday so special. Today is the day! 🎉💙

For the past five years, Domenic has been a dedicated and friendly presence at Wells River Savings Bank, providing exceptional customer service while quietly overcoming significant personal challenges.

At the age of 11, Domenic was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. In 2022, his diagnosis changed to a rare and currently undiagnosed degenerative condition. While the exact condition remains unknown, its effects are very real, and he is now facing severe muscular atrophy.

Until recently, Domenic maintained his independence through a specially modified pickup truck, allowing him to commute to work each day. Unfortunately, due to the progression of his condition, he can no longer safely operate that vehicle.

To continue working and maintain his independence, Domenic now urgently needs:
• A specialized motorized wheelchair
• A vehicle that can accommodate advanced accessibility modifications

Despite his determination and proactive efforts, including purchasing a vehicle he later learned could not be adapted to meet his needs, he is now facing significant financial challenges.

To support Domenic, Wells River Savings Bank will be hosting a benefit dinner on May 16th at the Orange East Senior Center, with all proceeds going directly toward helping him meet these needs.
