🚨 Behind-the-Scenes Spotlight🚨

Meet our Chamber Treasurer, Silas Scott!

Silas has been involved with the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB for nearly two years. Wanting to become more involved in the community and knowing how active the Chamber is throughout Wellington and the surrounding area, joining the Board felt like a great fit!

One of Silas’s favorite parts about serving on the Board is getting to see all the different ways the Chamber is involved in our city and surrounding communities. Through his time on the Board, he has gained an even deeper appreciation for the important role the Chamber plays in supporting the growth and success of our community.

Outside of his role as Chamber Treasurer, Silas serves as the Assistant Vice President at Impact Bank, focusing on consumer lending and consumer real estate. He and his wife, Chelsea, recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary! ❤️ Together, they have two children and stay busy supporting them in their activities. Silas also helps run the Wellington Youth Wrestling program and coaches wrestling at Wellington High School. 🤼‍♂️

When asked what he loves most about Wellington, his answer was simple: “The small-town community.”

Silas believes supporting local businesses is important because local business owners are our neighbors and friends, and they are a big part of what makes a small-town community so special. He hopes to see Wellington’s downtown businesses continue to grow and thrive! 🏘️

His favorite local event is The Great Race, which brings visitors from all over and gives them a glimpse of what can be accomplished by a small group of devoted people. 🏆

Silas shared that community means having people around you to help carry the load of life. He stays involved because he values what Wellington has to offer and believes it takes generational involvement to make a town great.

His local business recommendation? 🧀 The Big Cheese Pizza! Silas appreciates how Curt consistently gives back to local athletes and is always willing to step up and go above and beyond.

And if Silas had to describe Wellington in just one word? Friendly. ✨
