Edward Jones-Financial Advisor: Bill Boughton

Edward Jones-Financial Advisor: Bill Boughton I started my career with Edward Jones in 1998, after spending 10 years with a major bank as a personal banker, branch manager and city executive.

I was not happy with the direction that banking was heading at the time, and I spent a good deal of time researching financial firms to find one that was the right fit for me. And that firm was, and continues to be, Edward Jones. As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I put my clients' interests first. I enjoy developing long-term relationships with my clients, and frequently serve multiple generat

ions within a family. When working with clients, my first priority is to understand what's most important to you. I then use an established process to help you build personalized strategies to reach your goals. Once we've established those strategies, I partner with you throughout your lifetime to help ensure you stay on track, making adjustments when necessary or when life's unexpected turns get in the way. I grew up in Raleigh, N.C., and landed in the Asheville area after serving three years in the U.S. Army and then completing a B.S.B.A. in banking, economics, and finance at Appalachian State University. My original plan was to stay here for a few years and then to transfer to a larger metropolitan area for better career opportunities, but I fell in love with the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Asheville area, and realized I couldn't leave. When not working, I enjoy playing trumpet in a Mardi Gras style band, volunteering as a National Ski Patroller at Hatley Pointe Ski Resort, and serving abused and neglected children as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem. I am also active in the Weaverville Business Association and the Kiwanis Club of Asheville. Please contact me to discuss your situation and options. My branch office administrator, Vickie Seeley, and I pride ourselves on providing highly personalized service to help us to better understand and meet our clients' unique goals and needs. We look forward to speaking with you!

Initial public offerings (IPOs) tend to attract a lot of investor interest, especially when the company is large and well-known. The excitement can be tempting, but it doesn't always lead to strong investment results. We encourage investors to look beyond the headlines and focus on whether the share...

As investors look beyond Middle East tensions, U.S. economic fundamentals are coming into sharper focus, driven by an accelerating AI investment and robust corporate profit growth, reinforcing the constructive case for equities. However, elevated inflation may keep rate cuts off the table and limit near-term progress in bond markets.

Senior Economist James McCann explains what this could mean for investors in our Weekly Market Wrap.
