There's more to SQ 832 than meets the eye for family farmers and ranchers. Hiding behind the promises of increased wages, SQ 832 would remove longstanding exemptions for agricultural labor that provide flexibility for workers on Oklahoma's farms and ranches to work longer days when it is critical to get crops harvested or livestock handled when time is money. With agricultural input costs skyrocketing and suppressed commodity prices farmers face, squeezing our local farms with increased labor costs will cut even further into the viability of our family agriculturalists.
