Oklahoma Farm Bureau members believe importing even more foreign beef is the wrong move. With President Trump's announcement yesterday that certain tariffs will be removed on beef product imports for 90 days, OKFB President Stacy Simunek said in a statement that "President Trump’s decision to allow more than 660 million pounds of beef into our country over the next 90 days threatens the viability of family farms and ranches in Oklahoma and all across our nation."

There's more to SQ 832 than meets the eye for family farmers and ranchers. Hiding behind the promises of increased wages, SQ 832 would remove longstanding exemptions for agricultural labor that provide flexibility for workers on Oklahoma's farms and ranches to work longer days when it is critical to get crops harvested or livestock handled when time is money. With agricultural input costs skyrocketing and suppressed commodity prices farmers face, squeezing our local farms with increased labor costs will cut even further into the viability of our family agriculturalists. Vote NO on SQ 832 June 16. Learn more: okfarmbureau.org/sq832
