Good morning, everyone. Please take a moment to read this.

I wanted to share something that has been on my heart for a while. Life insurance is something I’m very passionate about, and honestly, I wish I had taken it more seriously earlier in my own life.

When I became sick two years ago, there were things I simply couldn’t afford anymore, and I allowed some of my life insurance policies to lapse. Today, because of my health history, my options are much more limited. I can no longer get the coverage I once could, and that is something I have to live with.

I also had policies on Jackson and Olivia that I allowed to lapse. Life insurance on our children is not something any parent wants to think or talk about. I understand that completely. It’s a difficult subject.

But one thing I’ve learned is that our children are at an age when they are young, healthy, and generally at their most insurable. The opportunity to put something in place for them may never be better than it is today.

I recently took out a life insurance policy on Jackson, and one day I’ll be able to give it to him. I’m not just thinking about what it provides today—I’m thinking about his future. I wish I had done the same thing when he was younger. It could have been more affordable, and he could have already had more time to build value.

The part that is humbling for me is that I sold life insurance and still didn't fully understand the importance of having my own family protected until life gave me a reason to.

I’m sharing this not to sell you anything, but because I genuinely believe being prepared is important. Sometimes it takes an unexpected or life-changing event to make us realize what we should have done sooner.

None of us knows what tomorrow holds. We know we are born, and we know that someday we will die. Those are two things we can count on. What we can control is how prepared we are for the people we love.

Hello, Facebook!

I wanted to officially share that I am back with Country Financial! Many of you already know, but I wanted to wait until everything was in place before making the announcement.

The past two years have been incredibly challenging as I dealt with some significant health issues. When I left Country Financial, I was heartbroken because I truly loved serving my clients. At the time, though, I simply wasn't able to be in the office.

I'm grateful that God opened the door for me to return, and I couldn't be more excited to be back doing what I love.
