🚗 The rumors are true — no more vehicle registration stickers in North Carolina!

Starting October 2026, NC is doing away with the annual registration stickers on license plates.

A couple of other changes to know:

👉 If you renew your vehicle registration online, you will no longer receive a new registration card in the mail. You can print a copy yourself if you'd like one.

👉 You will also no longer need to show your registration card when getting your annual state inspection. The inspection station can access your registration information electronically using your license plate number.

So if you renew and find yourself wondering, “Where’s my sticker and registration card?” — you’re not missing anything! 😊
