And just like that… it’s back to school!

The backpacks are packed, lunches are made, alarms are set… and by Friday we’ll probably be looking for a missing shoe at 7:15 in the morning.

The kids are excited to see their friends, the teachers are ready for a new year, and the parents are just trying to remember all the passwords to the school apps. 😂

Here’s to a great school year for all of our local students, teachers, staff, and families!

And parents… enjoy that first cup of coffee in peace.

What a week.

The Pike County Fair is officially in the books, and once again it reminded me why this is one of my favorite weeks of the year.

From the shows and long days in the barns to catching up with friends and neighbors, it was a week full of hard work, memories, and community.

One of the highlights is always the livestock sale. It isn't just about buying an animal—it's about investing in our youth. Local families, businesses, and supporters come together to recognize months of dedication and hard work from our 4-H and FFA members. That kind of support says a lot about the community we live in.

I'm incredibly proud of Anna and Landon and all they accomplished this week. They put in countless hours before fair ever started, and it showed.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered, attended the fair, purchased a project, sponsored a buyer, or simply cheered these kids on. You help make these opportunities possible and remind our young people that their hard work matters.

Now it's time to trade the barns for the office and get back to helping clients. Our part of fair week has officially wrapped up!

The horses are home, the goats are settled in, and it's finally time to relax a little. The kids did a great job this week, and we couldn't be more proud of all their hard work.
