"Private-to-Public: An Orientation Overview for Employees New to Local Government".

New to local government? Looking to learn? Local government can be hard to understand at first and in many ways it is unique compared to other jobs you (or other employees) may have worked in the past. This 30-45 minute self-directed program will cover the differences between private and public sector employment, how local government works, conflicts of interest, money and planning, transparency, statutory requirements, and more.

Congratulations to the 15 people that just completed CVMIC’s Leadership Action Series!

This 10-session program started in January and recently concluded with an extensive capstone project that added value to each participant’s municipality. CVMIC members do amazing things every day and making the time to learn, grow, and share is no different.

With the help of FISTA, CVMIC was able to put on the very first Chainsaw 101 training at our office in Wauwatosa. This classroom and hands-on training is a great benefit to anyone who is new to using a chainsaw.

The next round of Unified Self-Service Rollouts will start tonight (January 31st) between 5:00pm and 7:00pm for anyone with two or more NeoGov suites.

Those who do not have two or more NeoGov suites, will be moved to Unified Self-Service on June 30th. Stay tuned!
