The best thing I saw at the Wisconsin State Fair this year wasn’t on a stick.

Owen had his colored-pencil piece, “Tangerine Tan,” displayed at the fair. Seeing his artwork hanging there with his name underneath was a pretty great proud-dad moment.

Great work, Owen. I’m proud of you.

Pretty cool moment for Owen today.

He was part of his school art contest and got the chance to meet Congresswoman Gwen Moore. He’s been putting in a lot of time on his artwork lately, so seeing him enjoy something like this was awesome.

Proud dad moment for sure.

Most people think they did the right thing.

They bought life insurance…
They listed their kids as the beneficiaries…

Family dinner… Wisconsin style.

We pulled up to Ricardo’s ready for a big family dinner — only to find out it was an hour wait (which, if you know Ricardo’s, sounds about right).

So naturally… we hit the Raising Cane’s drive-thru for an appetizer.

There we were, the whole Donohoo crew, sitting in the car with chicken fingers and sauce, calling it “round one.” Sometimes the best plans are the ones that weren’t planned at all.
