Good conversation. Great barbecue. Plenty to bring home.

One of the highlights of my Kansas City trip was meeting one of my mentors, Michael Weaver of Weaver Sales Academy, in person.

We had the chance to share a meal, talk shop, and enjoy some three-time world champion burnt ends. That’s was a pretty good way to start a week of learning!

I’m grateful for the people who challenge me to keep improving. Now I’m ready to get back to work with my team and put that learning into practice for the people we serve.

Last week, I joined more than 830 professionals in Kansas City for Farm Bureau Financial Services’ annual sales conference. We heard from world-class speakers and spent time with others working to better serve their clients and communities.

For me, investing in my own development and our business has a clear purpose: bringing more value to the people who trust us with their insurance.

I’m home with ideas to share with my team and put to work for our client members.

While I was in Kansas City earlier this week, my team has been keeping things moving at the office and taking care of our client members.

Being able to step away to learn and grow starts with having people you can count on back home. I appreciate their work, their commitment to our clients, and the care they put into what they do every day.
