We care about your safety. Please limit your time and exposure on the roads during this storm.

While the forecast accumulations may not seem spectacular, perhaps the bigger issues will be the wind and cold. With gusts as high as 50 mph, a road that we've cleared could get covered up again in minutes, particularly in rural areas.

And the bitter cold will reduce the effectiveness of road salt and other chemicals we use: Once air temps get into the single digits, road treatments don't work at all. It's science, man.

If you can, please adjust your travels so we can get roads cleared as quickly as possible.

The blitz won’t affect you if you abide by the regulations. The highest percentage is due to mechanical problems that could have been prevented by simple maintenance. When you follow the CSA regulations it will prevent you from facing violations that will increase your premiums or cost you your coverage. Worse case scenario is DOT renders you out of service and you cannot drive your CMV again. Following FMCSA regulations mitigates risk. Drive smart and drive safe!
