Sorry, everyone our first post an issue with its sharing ability that we could not get fixed. Lets trying this again!

February is the month of LOVE ❤️! We want to kick it off by showing a little love to YOU!

We are excited to finally share our HUGE news!

Over the last 6-8 months we have been working with the Nicholas Thies Farmers Insurance Agency in Waverly, IA and the Vandana Dodyia Farmers Insurance Agency in Cedar Falls, IA to acquire their businesses. As of December 1, we have officially closed on both offices! There are a lot of moving pieces here, so we apologize for the lengthy post.

The Cedar Falls physical location will be closing. Our Waterloo office is located 2.5 miles up the road at 2747 University Ave Waterloo, IA and we are fully staffed and ready to help. Feel free to stop by for anything you need or just to say hi! The previous phone number of 319-242-8010 will ring straight to our main line and all emails sent to the old email address will be forwarded to us as well. We look forward to continuing our relationship and growth with the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area.

Our Waverly location will remain open, and Nicholas Thies will be joining our staff as our Operations Manager. This is great for any customers who still want to meet with or work directly with Nick. This will also provide the opportunity for customers to have our full office at their disposal. The previous phone number of 319-352-3168 will also ring to our main line and any emails sent to the old email will be forward to us. We are extremely excited to join the Waverly community. Waverly is a great town, and we look forward to getting involved very soon!

Change is hard for everyone, but we have worked hard to ensure that not much will change. Any phone number, any email, and either location can help you with anything you might need. We always look forward to growth! Growth in our community, growth in ourselves, and growth in our relationships with our customers!

Our team had a great day yesterday at our 2026 yearly planning meeting!

A huge shoutout to Copper Spaces in Nevada Iowa for giving our in-office and remote team a great place to meet and share ideas all day. Their office spaces are second to none and perfect for teams of any size. We will definitely be back for our 2027 planning meeting!

Another big shoutout to Flight Bar + Grille for hosting our team for lunch. They were voted best burger in Iowa in 2023 and top 40 tenderloin in Iowa in 2025. Their food is RIDICULOUSLY good.

We have been quiet on social media and have even had people ask where the “What If Wednesdays” have been. It’s all because of a big announcement early in December. Our team has been working so hard to create great systems for current and future customers. We look forward to sharing our exciting news with you soon.

You may have seen the news that there is a global outage effecting many of the major companies.

Unfortunately CNN, CNBC, and others forgot to include Zachary Goodwin Farmers Insurnace in their reports. Classic oversight.

We know that your Amazon orders, social media needs, and gaming needs may not bring you as much joy as talking to your local Farmers Insurance Agency and we are sorry for any inconvenience.

We are still in office and fielding calls the best we can and hope to be back up and running soon!

We have a lot of exciting changes happening in our office right now — but not all change is easy. Sometimes, the hardest part of growing is saying goodbye to someone who’s been there since the beginning.

Michelle joined our office two years ago when we were in our first days as a new business. She wanted to try something new after spending some time teaching and she brought that same passion, patience, and heart into every interaction with our customers. From day one, she helped shape the culture of our agency and played a key role in our growth.

Next week, Michelle will be returning to the classroom to continue her calling in education. While we’re sad to see her go, we couldn’t be prouder of her. The truth is, when you hire great people, they often grow beyond the walls of your business — and that’s something to celebrate.

Michelle, thank you for your loyalty, your kindness, and your dedication. You’ve left a lasting impact here, and we know you’ll continue to make a difference in every life you touch. 💙
