The Grinnell Mutual community is heartbroken about the devastation and loss of life in Greenfield, Iowa, which was hit by a destructive tornado on Tuesday, May 21. The company has historic ties to Greenfield, where Grinnell Mutual was founded in 1909 and was headquartered until 1934.

To honor our roots and support the community that gave us our start, the Grinnell Mutual Group Foundation will donate $150,000 to help Greenfield recover, and the company is giving employees who want to help with cleanup efforts eight hours of extra paid volunteer time off.

April 3rd, 2024 Farm & Home Mutual Insurance turned 150 years old as the oldest continuous business in Washington County. For 150 years we have protected Farms and Homes in 15 counties surrounding Washington from severe weather and other disasters. Thank you also to Grinnell Mutual for their continued partnership throughout the years.

In addition, last week we won Business of The Year at the Washington Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner. We are proud to be a part of such a great Community and hope for many more years of growth and progress in Washington and surrounding counties!
