🌪️⛈️ It seems like every day, a major weather emergency or natural disaster happens somewhere in the world. To help people affected by disasters like hurricanes, recent flooding, or earthquakes in you might want to donate money to help. Scammers know that and hope to steal money intended for disaster relief.

If you donate to these fakes, your money goes to the scammer, not the people in need. To learn more on how to protect yourself, check out our latest Banknote Blog post.

You’re browsing your social media feed when an ad grabs your attention mid-swipe. 👀 You don’t think twice about clicking on the ad. Why would you? The ad is right there in your feed and it looks real, so you trust that it’s legit. But it might not be.

According to an FTC data spotlight, in 2025, people reported losses of more than $95 million to scams that started when they ordered something after seeing an ad on social media. And since a lot of people don’t report scams, real losses are likely much higher.

Learn more on how to protect yourself from falling victim to social media scam on our latest Banknote Blog post.

PACE Alliance Annual Golf Outing 🇺🇸

Last Friday, WSB went all out for this year’s theme of “Let Freedom Swing”! Jen and Kara had a great time taking the theme to another level with a patriotic pool party vibe and a fun chipping game for golfers to play for prizes. Landon and his team enjoyed playing in the tournament as well. Thank you to everyone who made this year possible in raising funds for the Pella Fire Department!

We can’t wait to see what theme the PACE team comes up with next year. 🤩

Meet our summer staff at our Washington branch!👋🏻

While Caden and Jacey have headed off to college already, we wanted to highlight the students that work at WSB in the summer time. You’ll still see Jacey occasionally, and Jaixen and Fletcher will continue their OJT work throughout their senior year. Thank you to these four for all their help this summer! We wish each of you the best on your upcoming school year!🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

First Fridays in Fairfield are always a fun time. 🎶🪀

The weather forecast had us feeling like the yo-yos we were handing out. 😵‍💫 thankfully, it held off long enough for everyone to enjoy the music, activities, and vendors on site. We look forward to this event each summer!

Look for us this evening (weather permitting! Be sure to check the Fairfield First Fridays Art Walk page.) at the Party in Central Park!🎶

***We are keeping an eye on the weather predictions for this evening!
Cross your fingers, toes, and whatever else you cross that this storm shifts and allows us to have a great evening in Central Park**

Join Fairfield First Fridays, August 7th, for our monthly, free outdoor event.

Fairfield First Fridays is having a Party in Central Park, with live music, lawn games, vendors, artists, and some community togetherness.

Since the weather predictions in June derailed us and forced the band to move to an indoor location and they didn’t get to play live in the gazebo (we live streamed the music) , we are bringing The Roman Cadillacs back to perform in Central Park for this event. They will be in the gazebo from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., come enjoy some Rock n’ Roll from this great, local Fairfield band.

Collector Cars Unlimited will have a car cruise from 5-8pm on the square that night as well! Seeing the amazing restoration and preservation of these classic cars is always a treat!

We have some new vendors, as well as many returning vendors you know and love including children’s book authors, mobile books, food, snacks and many arts and artisans vendors. There will be the usual lawn games, Giant Jenga, Outdoor Connect Four, the giant foam building blocks and other activities. Bring your friends for a little friendly competition! Come celebrate the things that make Fairfield a great place and enjoy Central Park and the historic Fairfield Square.

There will be many galleries, shops and restaurants open
