🚨 COLD WEATHER ADVISORY FOR IOWA 🚨

Dangerously cold air is moving into Iowa late Sunday night and lasting through Monday noon. Wind chills across much of the northeastern part of the state will drop to –25° to –30°, cold enough to cause frostbite in as little as 10–30 minutes on exposed skin.

Dress in layers, cover exposed skin, limit time outside, and bring pets indoors. Check on elderly neighbors and loved ones, and use space heaters safely.

With a heavy heart I share the passing of Bob Kennedy.

In 1958, Robert Kennedy joined his father Charles in the family insurance business. Bob along with his brother in law, Gerald Hahn, operated the business together for several years. Bob continued as the owner and also an agent until his retirement in 2022.

An article in today's paper on the State of Iowa Historical Building brought up this memory for Bob. He and brother Dick Kennedy were part of the group of Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War mentioned in the beginning of this video I found online today as he was telling me this same information from memory.
